Anyone run these tests on their VEI Fogger yet?

I won't be buying any more Chauvet products. Their actions in this matter show exactly what kind of company they are. Even though I got the $149 refund, they still shipped hundreds, if not thousands, of F1250's with undersized heaters that had no chance of ever meeting their two advertised specifications. And, when we pointed this out, they then they "thanked" us, with no offer to correct the problem. Only due to our unrelenting contact and the undercurrent of a potential lawsuit did they come up with a plan to fix the units. After that failed, and they learned that their 10k cubic foot per minute claim was also in jeopardy, did they come up with the refund offer. And now they're changing the offer to the detriment of the purchaser by requiring the purchaser to ship the unit back on the purchaser's dime. FOUL!
I'd like to see a comparison test between the big current home foggers based upon how much fog they produce, not just how much current they draw.

I have a couple of (very) old VEI foggers, as far as durability is concerned, they have impressed me. These foggers have a lot of miles on them and they still work great. I had some contact with the company a few years ago and was happy with the service I recieved.
I don't know if the specs match the actual output, but I do know Chauvet has screwed over their customers.
I'll spend a few dollars more if I have to, just to buy from a company with good customer relations. I would have been satisfied with a "compensation" of a much smaller amount. Requiring the unsatisfied customer to actually lose money to fix the problem is simply a tactic by Chauvet to reduce their hassle and cut their costs!

I wanted to add, for fairness sake...
That when I got my first F-1250, the pump didn't work. Chauvet sent me a replacement unit and I just put the old unit in that shipper for a return. I literally had a new fog machine within just a couple days.
I haven't had any bad experiences with any of the 3 Chauvet's that I own, but I am disappointed that I paid for something I didn't get.
It's like buying a Cadillac... and liking it, but finding out it was just a V6. If nobody ever told you, it wouldn't matter. But knowing...

Yet another update:
After hearing of the reaction to their having the owners pay for the return shipping charges, Chauvet has re-considered the shipping policy for those who want to return their F-1250 foggers for:
1) A refund of the purchase price ($149.99). The fogger will stay with Chauvet if you choose this option, or
2) An upgrade of the heater to a 1200W unit. Please note that Chauvet's testing found that the 1200W heater did not improve output of the fogger, and increased the reheat time.
In either case, Chauvet will pay for the shipping charges, both ways. Please contact Rasheen Williams at tech@chauvetlighting if you want to return or "upgrade" your F-1250 fogger. This offer is open to ALL owners of F-1250 foggers. Thanks for your patience and feedback.I...have many names...

Jiminy Christmas!
What do you recommend? What is the turnaround time, and how do we know we are definitely going to get a check if we send our units in?
I once sent in something and 6 months later, I got paid.

I say Chauvets tap dance is too little, too late.
We see what they think of their customers! They lied about the specs, got caught, and will only grudgingly do the very least that they have to, to avoid a class action lawsuit!
Chauvet should refund the difference in price between what was purchased and what was received, or recall their products that were sold under the pretense of higher capabilities! This is why there are false advertising laws! If this went to court it would cost Chauvet a great deal of money. Their products are sold world wide, and many of their other products would be questioned and tested.
Right now, all I see is them trying to do the least that they can to shut us up!
Are they changing the design of their foggers to actually match their claims? Are they even simply renaming the foggers to match the actual specs? After they buy a few foggers back, will it be business as usual, or are they going to stop their false advertising?
I'm planning on asking some dealers at TransWorld if they have even heard of the falsely inflated specs, to see if they have been kept in the dark by Chauvet.
I would bet that the dealers are still advertising the wrong specs, and Chauvet has made no attempt to tell them otherwise.

Here's where I got mine:
ElectronicsCity.Com Chauvet Hurricane F-1250 1200 Watts Fog Machine
I see that they still have the incorrect spec of 1200W posted. The 10K CFM output is open to debate, but Chauvet won't tell us how they get that number. I have noticed that while the authorized dealers continue to advertise 1200W, some have the output value at 7K CFM. This is probably a more accurate number.
If this ever did go to class action it would likely bankrupt the company. There's got to be a hell of a lot of these foggers out there. And the F-1700 is also involved; an owner reported a current draw of ~1200W in this thread - supposed to be 1700W. Chauvet has been getting away with this BS for a long time.I...have many names...
