    HI
I picked up an LED wall torch from IKEA (UK).

    MINNEN FACKLA

    (Gotta love those IKEA names)

    £9.99 in the UK
    $19.99 in USA

It looks great in our hallway, I just need to fix it to the wall tonight. In fact it looks a lot better than in the IKEA web page, and it can be set to flicker.

I'll post a pic of it in situ.

In the same MINNEN range they do a lamp with a cobweb finger guard, but this wasn't to my taste

Canada have them (I suspect every Ikea has them)

    IKEA | Lighting | Children's lighting | MINNEN FACKLA | Wall lamp

They are listed under children Ikea under lighting.

    PM sent to you.

Those are cool. According to the Ikea web site, they're halogen, not LED. It also looks like the plug in and are not battery powered.

Looking forward to seeing actual pictures or video of these in place.

    Thanks for the tip!

    Hi
Yes I had another look at the instructions for bulb replacement and you are correct it is a 12v halogen (capsule type).

Below are a some of photo's, two with flash and one without.

The flicker is very subtle, and is switch selectable.
I have run the 12V cable from the plug transformer behind the room setter.

    Video to show flicker (1.25Mb)

Ikea Wall Torch-flicker (hosted at TinyPic)

I will of course distress the torch with web etc.
