Hey, whats the best way to get realistic blood splatter? Soaking a sponge in fake blood and hold the sponge and sling? Or a spritzer? Or something else. Please help.

I use a stiple sponge for medium spots and a spritz bottle and a tooth brush run fingers across bristles and the blood flicks off in small specks.

Blunt trauma is usually better than an outstretched arm slash, I find.

Just use a paintbrush. Dip the bristles in the blood, then hold it near the wall. Using your finger, pull the tips of the bristles toward you and let go. You can experiment with different angles and distances to get different effects, but there's no better way to fake splatter than by splattering!
