I am working on a few props and wonder if there is a tutorial out there somewhere on creating realistic eyes for props...
I made some using printed irises that I snagged off the web, but they just aren't doing it for me.
Any suggestions?

You can make realistic eyes but the process is involved and the materials to get started can be expensive compaired to buying them on ebay for 3.99 a pair. 26mm blue plastic eyes animatronics props dolls - eBay (item 150301575512 end time Oct-11-08 14:34:03 PDT)

check out lauriebeast's stuff. I used something similar but didn't do nearly as nice a job as she does. Anyway you print out the iris/pupil (I think it was called easy eyes), stick to a ping pong/wooden/deoderant ball and add a little paint. It was quite easy, and really looks good, especially after several clear coats (i used nail polish). If you have a round punch about the right size, it would make a BIG difference so that you get a perfect round.
So come up to the lab and see what's on the slab.

you can purchase eyes from a place that sells dollmaking supplies like this one: KemperDolls: eyes. Most places sell many different sizes but human eyes are about 25mm in diameter so look for something close to that.
