Tell me about the lanterns you use in your haunt. Where did you get them, what kind of bulbs do you use, etc.? All I can find are junkie ones from the halloween store and they give off no light. Help!

I got one from the Dollar tree and a smaller one from the Big Lots. for real cheep too.
I got a larger one from the Party city for about $14.00.
and pulled the flash light bulb out and replace it with the light works from one of those tea light candels. so it would have that flickering effect. I can post the steps and pictures if you would like.

Bought both these styles at Big Lots over the spring/summer.

This one is prewired for an electric light. I haven't aged these yet, but no work required for power. I added a flicker bulb inside for the light.

This one was for a candle. I painted and "aged" it to fit my haunt. I put an LED tealight inside.

I don't use either type as a main light effect, more for mood lighting.

I got two new kerosene lanterns on ebay for 5.99. They are bright red so I will have to paint them, duh but now I have to figure out what type of lights to put in them.
