So the rain finally stopped in upstate NY, so today was a good day to get my pirate display set up and take some pictures

This was near my shed, and the display will be put out the week of halloween, being that i dont trust some thieves around here

The steering pirate will have a head, im working on the final adjustments on the 3 axis for him. The bucky skull seems to be too heavy for the servos that I chose, so i ordered a lindberg.

PS. Dont pass on the picture of my Mussel bed. Im going to made more and add them to the columns, and other places on the ship

Also the barrel to the right is my popper. It uses compress air to jump out.

    Hope you enjoy!!!

Nice display. I am working on my build of a pirate ship, and it is good to see what ideas other are coming up with. It's been time consuming, as we decided to build ours so that the kids can climb aboard and get the pictures taken. I am hoping that mine comes out this nice

Awesome job! I hope you post pictures when you have everything running at night, it sounds like it'll be really cool! Pirates are a popular theme this year.

really nice, i did a frontal view of a pirate ship for last years yard haunt. I live on a farm, and we just renavated my family room, so we had very cheesy, 70's style feax wooden paneling, and very large posts for masts, so i gave it a shot. It came out pretty crappy at first, and really, with all the wind we have up here in New York, i should have expected the mast to fall at some point. (EVEN THOUGH I HAD IT SUNK 3 FEET INTO THE GROUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

but, anyways, it just kept "crashing and sinking" as we joked, so this year we are going to try and re think it, with more support for the mast and actually have the ship with a hole blown in the side from cannon fire, and the ship "sinking" literally into the ground. i will send pics, but for a 15 year old haunter doing this all on my own (save for the ocassional assistence with powertools ) i cant promise too awful much. I am also pretty far along on a spider project powered by a lawn deer motor, but i may use my spare deer motor to power a continual pop up coming out of the cannon hole to inspect the damage. great work here though, given me some ideas about putting a railing along the sides of the ship's deck.
Lets see....Magic, miniature horses, penguins, lacrosse, volleyball, and Halloween
    .......what, you seem suprised?

    lol, Military

    They served in Desert storm

a friend of mine gave them to me

i still need to finish painting the right side a bit

and those leaves dont add to the thrill of a pirate ship

also, im going to use lawn weed fabric to block out the bottom, and maybe add a cannon on the side
