Hey everyone! First post! I've been lurking around the forums for the past few days, and I've just gathered SO much information. I've been looking for a site such as this one for a while. I'm glad to be here!!

Anyway, let's get to the question. I want to display a countdown of sorts on a monitor (controlled by computer of course) that will let people know how many days, hours, minutes until my haunt begins. Now I know I could just shine my projector out a window with a sheet in front of it, but that's a sure way to have a burned out bulb by Halloween. So, my question is... has anyone every tried to make an LCD monitor "outside-proof"? I have an old-school beige Dell one that I don't care too much about that would be good for this. Now, where I want to put it is already under an overhang of sorts and it doesn't see a lot of rain anyway. But if we get a windy rain, some water is likely to blow in its direction. Any ideas? I'm halfway thinking about a really clear, but big, plastic bag to just put over it, but I wanted to see if anyone else had any ideas first. I appreciate it!!

Oh and I've looked at some of the other countdown solutions mentioned here (such as the sign from Michael's), and they're all just too expensive for me when i have other solutions that might work just as good, if not better.
