I worked with several other members here last year trying to fine tune the Talking Boris hack. I have been wanting to do something more with my Boris and I finally found a solution. I have been looking on and off for months for one of these skeletons at a reasonable price and I finally found one yesterday. The head that came with the skeleton was a bit big and I think Boris is a much better fit. I just need to lighten boris a little to match the rest of the body and he should be good to go. mounting the head was very simple and took nothing more than about 3 inches of a wooden broom handle.
I'm doing a mine theme this year in the garage and Boris is going to be my web-covered miner to distract the tots until my giant spider makes his appearance.

Very nice match. I wouldn't worry about the color, I bet in the dark you wouldn't even notice. Sounds like you're a perfectionist like myself.

Nice to see that you gave your Boris the creature comfort of a pillow to rest his weary bones. I don't know. He looks a little light headed if you ask me.

Where did you get that skeleton? It's not quite a bucky....
I like it, no visible hardware

My girfriend actually found it at a local garden center. It is made by Sunstar Industries. I've seen them on Grandin Road's website, but they are a bit pricey there.
He is all blow mold plastic and is held together by screws and bolts at all the pivot points. It is fairly well made and is very light. Does not seem like it would break very easily.
I attached Boris by cutting a piece of broom handle on an angle, then attaching the wood to his battery compartment door with a screw. I just placed the head about where I wanted it and then used the 3 existing screws in the neck to hold it in place.

I know this skeleton is not quite as detailed and a bucky, but it is way nicer than any Blucky. If you've ever had a Boris, you know they are a little "funny" looking and exactly anatomically correct. When I first saw this skeleton, I thought it would be a good fit for him.
