Any advice as to how to wire a ATX power supply to run a 12 volt wiper motor. All these wires... where do I start?

    Attain,

Start by going to Rat (Radio) Shack and buying yourself a cheap multimeter that reads Volt/Ohms. With this you can find the leads that have 12Volts and 5 Volts, ect. I use the 5 volt leads from the power supply on my windshield wiper motors and the rpms work out perfect. Yes the motor will run on 5 to 12 volts just fine. The nice thing about computer power supplies if you scrounge you can get them for free or cheap and they can put out amps to run a wiper motor.

    Ban Trunk or Treat!

Thanks for everyones help. I got my 400w power supply working for me last night. I also have a 120w supply that I tried to wire the same way, couldn't get it to work.
