Hi all! Looking for recommendations for the best way to make a large spider web glow under black light. Has anyone tried this? Bought a 9' web, and not sure how to proceed. I'd appreciate any suggestions my more experienced fellow Haunters had.

Soak it in regular Tide laundry detergent and let it air dry.

What is it made of??? If it is some sort of cloth string or yarn you can try dipping it in Rit Bluing. That is what is used by many to make chesse cloth glow under black light.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! In another thread someone mentioned GID fabric paint, so I'm going to see if Micheal's carries it. Will post pics if I get a good result.

it largely depends on what your web is made out of - if its a natural fiber then I suggest RIT or tide or anything else mentioned above. If is nylon or synthetic you'll have to go with something sprayed on.

It's made of simple (cotton?) rope. I bought some GID hairspray that the can says works with UV light, and also found some GID farbric paint on clearance for .50, so will try be trying both out to see how they work. If all else fails, will get the RIT Whitener (bluing?) and see how that looks. Thanks for the advice!

since its cotton, go with the RIT - i've never had much success using the hairspray - of course your mileage may vary
