    Hi, everyone...

I was looking to fill a jar with realistic looking eyes, but everything I see seems to be pingpong ball rejects.

I found THIS which is AMAZING, but I'd prefer the eyes to be loose (I want more than a single eye) and without the jar (I can do that myself).

Has anyone found better looking eyes that come in bulk?

(I can't believe I'm asking for this stuff... I need help... lol).

I believe last year Target had a bag full of "rubber" eyeballs that my wife picked up - I don't recall how realistic they were, but I do remember they were in some sort of mesh/net bag.

Kmart had a plastic jar with multiple eyes and water in it. I think it had a light and something which bubbled them around a bit. Real cheap too, but the eyes were not as realistic as your example.

    Hi,

Check out my album and see if the eyeballs I did in a jar last year is something that is of interest to you. Let me know and I'll fill you in on the easy creation.

Hmm... I did some 'eyes in the jar' last year... I think they turned out well and they cost me 25 cents a piece. I've got to snap a photo tonight. Got them at... Party City I believe.

Party City has fairly realistic albeit ping pong eyeballs $1.99/doz Target has the bubbling moving eyeball jar for $14.99 (its kinda disappointing) I bought the Target jar with hopes of adding the P.city eyeballs for a more realistic effect, but of course ping pong balls float so it looks like im gonna have to drill em to get them to sink. If i hadnt already invested in the target jar id just throw 2doz Pcity eyeballs in a pnutbutter jar with some generic hair gel and call it a day.

The ping-pong eyeballs are maybe not the most realistic, but if you drill them out, they bob around in the water in the most amazing way. Being more or less neutrally buoyant once they are full of water, they drift around in slow motion when you disturb the jar. Has to be seen to be appreciated.

I made one of these last year, out of a plain old mason jar, and eight or ten ping-poing eyeballs, drilled out. I put a drop of green food coloring in the water, just to make it a little more interesting (vaguely reminiscent of how specimens in formaldehyde get a yellowish tinge). It's a little bit on the cartoonish side, but entertaining to handle.
