About ten years ago I purchased One of those revolving beacon lites from Raideo Shack. Over the years the Rotating reflector piece fell off and became lost. I was Thinking is there a way I can make this lite just blink on and off, It takes a special kind of bulb so I can't put a ficker bulb in it. Is there something a can buy, and plug the unit into to make it blink? Thanks for any info you can give.

I haven't been able to find the flasher plug. I experimented with the fluoresent starters last night, but the blink rate was quite slow. I used both F2 and F5 with an 80 watt flood light.

Is there a brand name on the flasher plug or can you give me more of a description?

    Thanks!!

Winker plugs..found them online! As well as the little flat ones (button type), that appear to go in the light socket.

(Winker plug, button, or F starter) Do any of you have a preference and why? I'm just looking for a little discussion and advice.

the winker plug would be good for any application where you are not using a standard sized light socket (and the button will not fit) . I have one of these old revolving lights to and it uses a bayonet style bulb so the socket flasher will not work.

Both the winker plugs and the socket flasher will give you a steady flash while the F starters will "flicker"
