    i have recently purchased a new electric solenoid valve
    i just have one question its dc 12v and it says amp .667ma
    if i go over or under the .667 ma will it damage the solenoid

    No. The solenoid will draw 667 ma under it's normal load. If you don't have a 12 volt source that can provide at least 667 milliamps, the solenoid won't have as much pull.

    so to clarify i could use lets say a 12v power source with 1000 or 1500
    ma and it would not damage it right?

    That's right. The solenoid will only draw the current it needs - the rating on the power supply what can provide, not what it puts out all the time.
