For anyone looking for different bottle designs for your potions (I never liked the ones from Michaels or Joann), check out Candle Bay. They have some different sizes, shapes, and colors there. They can also be found on Amazon.com if you do a search for "apothecary bottles". While on Amazon.com, also do a search for "apothecary jars" for different containers.
If you go to the Candle Bay Web site, do a search for "diffuser bottles".
Yes, the prices are pretty good. Granted, they're not flamboyant as some that I've seen, but they do look a little more authentic (if you're looking for authentic). I wasn't going to do any potions this year, but I think I'll snag a few of those.
If you're looking for flamboyant bottles, and don't mind spending a little more money, check out some perfume bottles.
I received my three bottles today (2 amber, 1 red)! That was some fast processing and shipping!
Do note that the glass itself is not colored. Instead, they have a color coat on the outside that could potentially wear/chip off over time. Still, they're very nice. I did notice that the bottoms are NOT colored, so if you place the bottles over a light source, you'll get pure light rather than filtered colored light.
The company that makes these bottles and jars is called Couronne Company. I checked out their Web site just now, and they have LOTS of different sizes, shapes, and colors. The amphora jars/bottles are particularly unique. There are a lot of things there that would look absolutely awesome in any witch's kitchen or mad scientist's lab! UNFORTUNATELY, you have to be registered to see a price list. From their sign-up form, it looks like you may have to be a business. I'll try to contact them about whether they sell to the general public. Or, I'll find another Web site that sells these designs.
I received a response from Couronne Co. today. There's some good news, and some bad news . . .
The good news: They do sell to the public. Site registration is limited only to businesses, so to place an order, you have to call (1-800-573-4367). They gave me a full price list, which is easier to look up if you browse through their online catalog. The company is based in Texas.
The bad news: You have to order items by the case. Individual item prices are great, but there are often MANY items per case, which adds up! If you need many bottles of the same design, this is the way to go.
