i was thinking of making an endless hallway, kind of like the one from Disney's haunted mansion or a bigger version of the endless well. Where can I get the hallway print? If anyone can suggest some ideas, It will be great! Thanks

I did an endless hallway last year similar to a bottomless pit in design. I used a single sheet of glass from an old sliding patio door that had reflective tinting on the back side of it. I also had a mirrored closet door for the other half. I seperated the 2 mirrored surfaces with a 3' hallway with a light suspended in the center of the hallway. I put the light on a dimmer to control and adjust the light levels. I also covered the entore entrance with spider webbing to deter anyone from trying to enter the hallway.

The only pictures I have of this were taken during the day and dont give you the "endless hallway" look. It looks like a picture of a mirrored door. It was a very simple thing to put together. I used 1x6 fence boards to construct my walls to give it a mine shaeft appearance.

I think a roll of wallpaper would be the best item to use, along with a little wood.
Set up the two reflectors you'll be using, and distance them by the width of the wallpaper...use it to make the walls of the hallway.
Frame up both reflectors with some narrow wood as trim, stain it nice and dark.
Perhaps for the floor, you could place a piece of rug with a design on it in the center (rectangular, reaching both reflectors, but not quite to the walls), and then some dark stained wood on each side to give the effect of a long runner rug along the length of the "endless" hallway.
Depending on how you have it set up, you could just leave the ceiling open, so light isn't reflected, giving the effect of high ceiling lost in shadows.Hell is an eternity of getting up at 4am to nothing but decaf coffee...
2009 photos and 2008 photos ...uhmmm...and what I have evolving...

all right. i know you might already be past this but i know how they made the endless hallway in the haunted mansion. first you have a regular hall. then you have a mirror at the very end. if you want something floating or just something sitting their, it depends if you want the hall to end in darkness or never ending. to make a never ending use a mirror and a one-way mirror. to make it end in darkness then have a mirror then a skrim (loose knit material). if you have something floating then paint the back black and put it between the skrim and the mirror. or just put something out of the mirror and the one-way mirror. happy halloween. if you have any questions, just ask me. i may be young but i know everything about the haunted mansion.

Here's an example. It's a bottomless pit design but the same concept applies to setting up the mirrors at the end of the hall.

I've seen posts of the endless well and actually was looking at a lot of them yesterday. My question is, can I make one that is only about a foot tall and still get the effect? The little ones around my house are pretty little.

You might try some scene setter for the wall treatment. Its cheap and quick.
