I was wondering if someone could point me to some colored floodlights? Australia doesn't seem to have any haha, and lighting is definately crucial as I learned from last year.
The only thing I can find is a normal 150watt white floodlight in Kmart.
What does everyone else use?
Or what are some alternatives to flood lights?
Thanks![]()

I know that generally most of us using the colored flood lights get them at home improvement stores - mine are sylviania floodlights, and they come in red, green, blue and amber, and they look sort of like this:
50 Watt PAR20 Red Halogen Flood: Light Bulbs Etc, Inc.
For smaller areas, LED spots can be used.
If you are having difficulty finding actual colored lights, you can always rig up a gel to go over a regular light.
If you can find colored acetate sheets (plastic sheets, usually found in art supply or theater supply stores). You could cut a piece of plexiglass and cover it with a layer or two (or three depending on the amount of color/light strength) and rig up a holder to keep the plexi in front of the bulb - but do make sure to give it some space as bulbs do tend to get hot!
I would check your area's hardware and home improvement stores first to see if they could order you some, and then check out theater supply stores to see about some options.I'm a Halloween Bride! 10/31/2002

You can try something like Rosco Paint - Colorine - StageSpot.com - Rosco Paint - Colorine
but it recommends 40 watts or less.I don't mean to alarm you but your insides look very Halloweeny.
