I started working on a chandelier I purchased yesterday from a thrift store ($25). Here are a few pics on my progress so far.

Wow! That looks great! Can't wait to see your finished product.
I bought a smaller one that I'm wanting to paint black as well. Did you just use regular spray paint?

Yes I just used regular flat black spray paint. Seemed to do the trick. It looks just like wrought iron.

It amazing what a little paint and some plastic skulls will do. How about adding a flicker curcit.

Great! That's what I bought but was kind of afraid that it wouldn't look right. You've eased my fears.

I'm going to put silicone dipped flicker bulbs in mine. They don't put out a lot of light but they look more like flames than anything else.

looks very nice glass "eye".. you should put it on a motor and make it move back and forth to give it a "haunted" look

Thanks everyone. I plan on putting it over my back patio for Halloween. I built a pergola over the patio and make it into a spiders lair where the kids try to get their candy. I also plan on using flicker candles for the lights. I will shoot it with my webbing gun, hopefully making it look even creepier. I like the idea of putting a motor to it, thanks evileyes!!
