    Hello

Will VSA 3.1 play sounds with multiple channels? I would like to have several props interacting and with each prop having their own speaker. Do I need some kind of fancy sound card or something?
I would like to somehow create one sound file with multiple channels but I don't know how to create nor play it.

    Got any ideas?

    Thanks

for multi channel sound you are best off with VSA 4.0

the easiest way to mix your sound is to use my mixing software and instructions here

    Excel Control

When you are mixing your sound file for playback in VSA the trick is to stop when you have the AVI file and then change the .AVI name to .WAV, and you should then be able to open it in VSA 4.0 (don't know about 3.1)

To Play your multi channel sound file you will need a 7.1 (0r 5.1) sound card in your computer, a 7.1 sound card gives you 4 'stereo' output sockets which you can use to connect to 4 sets of stero speakers, or get a 7.1 speaker set.
