Heres my alligator. He will be on a mechanism that will be air driven....
Hopefully it will pop up and out towards unsuspecting guests as they walk by !
I don't have the mechanism built yet... so ... I need some good vibes for that !
He is made out of 2" pink foam that I glued together with gorilla glue (for foam).
Then I just carved away with a really sharp paring knife !.... I had to sharpen the knife every hour or so !

Thanks, it turned out to be easier than I thought !!! Thats the way it goes. Things that seem hard turn out not to be, and other things that seem easy are hard !
Oh, I forgot, the mouth is hinged so when it pops up, the mouth opens !

That looks fabulous. You definitely have some talent. You could sell those on ebay to the rest of us.

Thanks everyone ! Thought about selling them but, the cost for just part of my labor would put it out of range for most of us that have a TIGHT budget....
thanks Spookineer ! It means a lot coming from a master.... now if only I can make it pop out like I KNOW you could do !!!

I remember as a kid, living in Jacksonville, FL in a townhouse complex the was built near a gator infested canal. There was a wide sidewalk along the canal about 15' above water level with no railing or anything to stop you from falling right in. I can't even tell you how many nightmares I had as kid about alligators and trying to out run/swim them.....Thanks for bringing back those fears!!! All that aside...very nice job!!
