Not sure if any of you have seen these before but I made a large one of these (not framed) last year for Halloween and everyone loved it this year a few friends had me make them smaller versions in frames (as in the pic but all stretched different) so I even decided to make a few to sell.
They are 3d and look so cool in person just thought I'd share.
Sorry about the blurry photo I'll have to get a better one.
Actually I am working on one as a book now, a friend asked me to make him one for his Halloween Haunt.
I use a ceramic face for the "mold", paper, mod podge, hot glue and paints & sealers. It's pretty simple procedure the painting takes the longest.
carefully cover the mask in wet paper making sure you get it in all the tight spots, cut out the holes (eyes nose, mouth) then after the paper dries I splash a bit of mod podge on it (this is optional just to add a lil strength) then start stringing the hot glue it needs to be pretty stringy. I make a base thin coat then paint it flesh color then add more glue and paint them each seperately reds, greens, blues, and a flesh here and there. Then take off face mold and seal it. (their all painted a bit different. I've made some in just different shades of red looks neat that way too!)
You can add more paper to the out side for different stretch looks.
I've also done hands too using a stuffed rubber glove or skeleton hand. I personally like the faces better.
