Can you post a picture from the top down inside the box showing the bottom? I'm interested in how the bottom cylinder is used to "lift" the box. Thanks

This is all I can give you for now due to it is raining very hard today and I can't make it out to the shed right now. The 1st one is of the front of the box of the inside. I just cut the wood 1/4 of an inch on all four sides of the bottom piece so it has room to pivot. Then really all you do is place the box over the bottom for a hidden bottom effect. I squared the bottom up with the inside of the box and then mounted 2 hinges to the front of the inside bottom of the box. I hope this may help and let me know if you have any additional questions. I will take some more photos when the rain stops.

Yeah they help, I'm trying to get my mind around this and decide which style, pneumatic or motor, version I'd like to build.

Thanks all for the comments and I'm not sure if I could sell it yet. It is a large prop to store, I will have more pics to come but not quite yet. I am going to add the icing to the cake.

Mr Oct31, in your reply to me I would have to say that a cam wheel would be easier and there are many designs on the web. I just wanted to dabble with pneumatics and I had really good support and products from Monster Guts. That guy Dean is awesome. He helped me so much with this, I can't thank him enough. But don't be intimidated by pneumatics, they are relativly simple once you get going. My largest challenge was programming the prop controller and figuring out how to trigger it via remote controll.

No no no, pneumatics I'm already comfortable with, it's more the "do I want to pay the extra cost of it" that I'm working around and would it be worth it to me in the end. Luckly, I have a few of the needed pneumatic parts already and while the Monster Guts kit looks good I wouldn't need all of that and deep down I like the air version better so I guess I've already made my choice!

I'm so impressed with your work. That takes a lot of time and effort to make what you made. It's going to go great with the rest of your haunt. I'm so jealous, I wish I was able to do something like that.
