Got a start on a few things. I'm almost embarressed to post photos, but what the hey, everyone has to start somewhere.... This is our first year trying to make any of our own props & decor.... I've always enjoyed various crafts but this sort of thing is completely new to me, so please be tolerant of a beginner here!
This was the first head I tried to do - had some modelling compound similar to Crayola Model Magic that I used for her face. Was working outside, which was a mistake & the clay started drying just enough that I couldn't smooth all the seams together as well as I wanted.... but I guess she'll work....
I still need to put her hair on - I just laid a swatch over her head for this photo...
This is the start of another head -- a mummy or zombie or some such thing... still waiting for the first batch of celluclay to dry before I can go further with it....
That stuff is *messy* to work with!
In the evenings, I like to crochet while we watch movies --- I made a couple of these spiderwebs to put around the house....
And lastly -- we picked these doll things up at the thrift store - it seems we ought to be able to make something out of them - has anyone ever used these for props? What do you think would work best for these?

Good stuff. I like the witch head. The doll busts could be any number of things. Bloody them up a bit and you've got some neat ground breakers.

Great job, ferretlady! Those Barbie busts could either be used to make severed heads or you could put masks over them and have them look out windows (or attach them to a dummy body).

Thank you so much everyone!
Yep, a ground breaker was my first thought with the doll bust - I just need to figure out exactly how ti fix it up. We've actually got about 5 or 6 of these things - the other ones are just upper shoulders & heads, no arms. But they were only a buck each, so we figured we could do *something* with them.
I love the idea of them looking out a window! I'll have to play around with that idea too!
Thanks so much everyone - you guys (& gals!) are so kind & really make one feel welcome here!

I think you did a great job. I agree with everyone else about using the heads as ground breakers - especially the 1 on the left in the photo.
