While I hope someone can help me with my singing bust issue. I thought I would contribute some info on how to get some free props. each year on halloween I will go to the lg department storesduring the day and ask them If I can have there halloween displays. Usually they need to get ready for christmas and are happy to get rid of them. I have picked up Gates, Lights, Broken items etc that I was able to use. Many of the cosmetic companies use coffins to display there products. I just simplyy ask the manager if I can have all of the cardboard coffins. You would not belive some of the things that you can get. Though this might help.

Interesting...what stores typically do this? Target always has really cool stuff hanging from their ceiling. Year before last they had some black/purple glittery "chandeliers" hanging all over the store that I was drooling over!

Your absolutely right. I have a good friend that went to Target right before her party, she has a 40x40 pavillion on her property that they have their party on and the Target mgr gave her, I think it was 4 of those chandeliers. They are way cool and FREE!!

i need to look in to this i would love to get some of the store props or the "broken" items

My busts never sing to me anymore. But when they did sing, it was usually at an inappropriate time and after toooooo many cocktails. LOL.

but what is the issue?

Who the heck has time to visit the stores ON halloween

They start giving them away a few days before.

Wish I had known this two years ago....waaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! I would have glady paid for those chandeliers, they were better than anything sold in the store that year.

So do you just come in and ask to talk to the manager?

Not long age I worked for SEARS as a store Decorator and I got a lot of Christmas stuff; But, never really saw any cool Halloween stuff.
***But from Time to Time the big stores do change out the manikins and the old ones are free if you can get them on the day they need them out or they just toss them into the compacter. ;-"((

Yea just ask the manager.
