Thread: Strange LED

I got these at Radio shack about 15 yrs ago.
I believe they were called Tombstone type LEDS.

I can't seem to find them anymore. Has anyone seen this type around?



It's rectangular 8mm x 8mm x 12mm Domed top. Red Diffused package.

Any thoughts on How I can find something similar?

wow, 15 years ago!, LEDs have moved on a long way in just the past 15 months!, that sucker is considerably ancient!

can honestly say I've never seen one of those, any reason why standard 5mm or 8mm LEDs wont do?

How many do you need? I may have one or two I bought at radio shack 15 years ago.

These really throw out a lot of light side ways.

I want them for a flickering lantern.

I was able to find these but they are yellow.

What are you asking for them?

I'll look and see if I have any in my little drawer labled LEDs - I seem to recall some of those, but I'll have to look. I used to buy the pakages of 25 different LEDs back then.
