I am new to the game although I have loved Halloween for many a year. I want to make a prop with one of those 55 gallon drums. Have NO clue where to get one. Help please? Thanks!

Ask around at any factories. My husband brought one home once that had liquid soap in it the factory used for cleaning!

You can check the FREE section on Craigslist, they have stuff like that sometimes.
Be polite. Be professional. But, have a plan to kill everyone you meet.

Yea i had to do some major searching when it came down to it. I checked some online sites, and some were selling them for only about 30-60 bucks. The steel drums are more money, and more shipping
fortunately a friend of mine works with heavy equipment, and they have mountains of used drums that were filled with hydrolic fluid. We torched the lid off, and i used laundry detergent and lots of water to clean out the smell of hydrolic fluid.
Word of advice, the steel drums are HEAVY, even empty. As this is great for a pop up, so you dont have to worry about the barrel jumping as well, it is better to get a plastic barrel and weigh down the actual mechanism.

Try a car wash place. They get there soap in the plastic drums. I cut the grass for one place and they always have a pile of them stacked behind the building.

You might also be able to buy one at a feed store or tractor supply.
I don't mean to alarm you but your insides look very Halloweeny.

Also if you know someone who's getting a pool with linning(not concrete) the material comes in a cardboard barrel, i made a toxic waste barrel out of that and it looks amazing. Also it is very light weight.
