This year, I'm making an entire bookcase. I bought 165 very old books at a charity book sale for $40. The extremely nice elderly ladies were absolutely thrilled that I wanted all of the old, damaged books that nobody else wanted and helped me collect them. There were some real gems, like an ornate leather-bound grass and Seed Almanac from 1931...![]()

That sounds awesome. I just might remake mine to be a tall skinny bookcase. I can put it next to my 13hour clock and have a haunted library!!
I would love to see pictures of your when you finish it!!There will come a time when you have a chance to do the right thing.
I love those moments. I like to wave at them as they pass by.

How did you manage to bend the aluminum (it seems so sturdy), I have gone out and bought all the stuff to do the haunted bookshelf and that is where I am stumped at the moment =)
I must say it was quite interesting going to home depot, showing them the picture and saying 'This is what I am building, and I need...' They kind of look at you puzzled =)

I made mine out of the wire from an old tomato cage.

@ scarey...
The aluminum was actually pretty easy to bend using a pair of pliers. There will come a time when you have a chance to do the right thing.

Another way to build the Haunted bookshelves is with cams. Both ways work well.
