So the last few days i have been working on my pirates. The buckys looked too clean and white, so i wanted to give them a rotted, sun dried look.
I looked online and here for some "corpsing" techniques and this is what i came up with.
I love how his hip came out, it really looks like dried flesh.
the first picture is before I put any stain or anything on it.
That is it completely dry. I like how it has that, "still wet" corpse look, lol

Ok, that just looks great! It looks really real. Is that a full bucky then? It looks so real with all the spinal bones and hands. I wonder if you can use foam and color it red/brown and put it places to look like old meat/muscle? I have to say you are going to get a lot of attention when you have those out!

Very nice work there...This is one project I've been wanting to try. I got 2 foam skelly's from Menards last year that are just dying to be corpsified!!
How long did this take and what exactly did you use for the texture? Why rule the living when you can control the dead.

Thanks for all the comments
It is a full bucky skeleton that I picked up in march from a physical therapy company online.
For texture I wanted to use cheese cloth, but my local craft store did not have any. Luckly Michaels has all their halloween stuff out, so I used a halloween gauze tablecloth thing that they were selling. Once it was glued on, i spead on some rubber latex stuff and let it sit for a bit. After 5 minutes of that, I spray painted on some flat black in spots, used latex brown spraypaint, and some army green spray paint. I let all that dry for a day. I then used some Minwax wood stain. Not sure on the color, just whatever I found in the house. I just coated it all with that. Once it was starting to dry, i added some more black and browns. With this NY heat and the fact its closed in a shed that gets upwards to 100 degrees during the day, the whole thing is dry already. I started it on tuesday, and its fully dried today.
only 3 more to Corpse
