Hey all looking for a fix for a skull I bought from cowlacious and they drilled out the eye holes to big for led eyes to go into. I was thinking of a 2 part epoxy and then re-drill the holes to size. Does anyone have any ideas how to repair, that somewhat matches the color of the skull? Please let me know.

Bob, the holes are maybe 1/2" or larger. The led's are maybe 1/4" I need to fill the holes and then redrill. I just need to find some type of compound that would adhere to the skull and be able to drill out. I thought about silicone but it would'nt really take the stain well that I put on the skull to match.

Either expoxy or JB Weld - and then paint to match

Something to try: Use a washer as backing for clay, plaster or whatever, that way there is something to hold your material and still a hole in the middle for your LED. You could probably even use caulk like that.

you caould also use a led mount like this:

RadioShack.com - Cables, Parts & Connectors: LEDs: LED holders & assemblies: LED Holder

maybe it would fit in the hole?

I'd put some sort of mesh or fabric on the inside (glue down) and then use either caulking or joint compound and redrill. I would think the fabric would help hold the medium steady and provide support once dry, but still be easy to redrill.
