Anyone have experience with a water based fogger? This looks too good to be true. Do they put out much fog? I am thinking about using one for a full size witch's cauldron. Here's a link:

It *is* too good to be true. These are ultrasonic misters. They are placed in water, and make a fine mist. Not much... definatly won't fog a room. More like a dry ice effect that dissapates quickly. Also makes everything around it wet. We do use them in bottles in our lab, though.

Ditto on what crazybob said. Misters do have their uses, but they do splash and the water level on them has to be monitored pretty closely so they don't run dry. The mist is pretty low-lying, and not that voluminous unless you get one of the units made for big fountains or ponds, and then you're talking big bucks.
They are cool in certain applications though. I have a few that I use to make a "haunted brook" that runs across one of the scenes in my garage. My misters have color-changing LEDs, so they were pretty entrancing to watch
I had at least a dozen people ask how the mist/light was done. I think they were all a little let down when I told them!
