Has anyone else noticed that Brookshire software has released a new version of VSA?

    Visual Show Automation - Features
Here are some of the new features:
    • View and edit motion amplitude versus time.
    • Display tracks in multiple colors.
    • Synchronize with multiple graphical audio files.
    • Change event magnitude by dragging in Plot View.
    • Play multiple audio files simultaneously.
    • Render to multiple audio cards simultaneously.
    • Support both USB/external and integrated/internal sound cards.
    • Supports 128 servos, motors, relays, and dimmers.

Has anyone tested it out yet? Impressions?

The old versions were showing their age. I just hope it is really improved. The old GUI was functional but pretty clunky to use and hard to view (all channels are the same color). I also hope they added additional hardware drivers to support more device control. More channels and multi audio tracks is good but the inteface has to be easy to use as well.
I asked Jon once about upgrades and never got a reply (the documentation on the site said they would notify you via email if you were registered). I've never gotten any email for any new versions (3 or 4).
I see the V4 demo and guide are up for download so I'll have to grab them and start playing.

    (After reviewing)
Hahaha, I told Jon several times that I liked the way the Vixen lighting control GUI works (multiple colors, amplitude versus time, more channels). Looks like he got to work. Unfortunate that it does not support any new hardware and only added 64 channels. It still claims "
Use Mini-SSC compatible servos, relays, and dimmers" only there are no Mini-SSC dimmers to be had anywhere. Jon told me that was a proprietary device a customer wanted support for. Looks like I'll still be using Vixen for lighting control. Vixen supports a ton of open source hardware devices, you can add as many channels as you want, and it has a great support forum. Maybe VSA version 5 ???

I just bought the new version, and it looks good to me. I can import VSA data outside the mini-ssc range (Parallax and SSC-32) and there are 128 tracks. I'm happy.

I didn't hear back from Jon, so I went ahead and paid the full $59 bucks. He'll eventually reply and I'll find out then.

So what exactly is the difference between 3.0 and 4.0? I notice the trial appears to focus on 4 servos but I still have trouble figuring out how to use it even with the instructions on the Brookshire site.
