I built this executioners switch this weekend to go along with my electric chair that I built several years ago.

I want to add a magnetic switch to the mechnism to trigger a disposable camera flash to simulate the electrical arc when the switch is thrown.

but for now it is working.

I am working on the dummy that will throw the switch next, I have a head I will be using it is one of the mask that you pump the heart and it pushes red colored water across the skull mask. I am adding a pump to work it contuiously. and I glued led eyes into the mask and paper mached the back of the head. I also have a glove that I have put wires in so that he can grip the switches handle.

OMG that looks like a lot of work! To think I wanted to work with the wiper motors too. The relay alone looks like a complete science project. Great work, I envy your knowledge in what you are doing.

It isn't that complicated, The relay is just switching motor direction. The limit switches stop the motor at the top and bottom of the movement. and the diodes that you see on the terminal block allow the power to flow to the motor when it is reversed from it's limit.

I put this together in a weekend. Including cutting all the wood, and painting.

A simpler mechinism is one that doesn't reverse the motor or stop the motor. The motor just goes as it does when it is in your car. Most haunters use the simple mechinism for kicking legs or leering props.
