I was thinking of using creepy cloth allover the house as well as some spanish moss to make the house itself look haunted. Has anyone ever used this stuff? Can I make my own out of cheesecloth? Any ideas are great!

Wash cheesecloth, hang to dry. Shred as needed, and dirty up as needed Creepy cloth is stupid expensive for what it is. I only buy that stuff when it goes to 75% off

One caveat about spanish moss... If you buy it in a store, it's been fumigated or irradiated or baked or whatever to kill any critters (spiders, chiggers, etc) that might be hitching a ride. If you pull it out of a tree, it might behoove you to bake it in the oven on a very low heat or perhaps soak it in Everclear (gasp) or 91% isopropyl alcohol. ESPECIALLY if you're using it inside the house.

You can use Jute Mesh erosion control fabric. That is if there is a local supplier in your area. I used to buy it from Home Depot for $39.00 for 300 feet! This stuff used to be called Dorp cloth by fellow haunters. Heres a link to see what it looks like: Jute Mesh Erosion Control Mat

Creepy cloth is lame, it's overpriced cheese cloth that has been dyed and distressed. You could get a whole bunch of cheese cloth and dye it for the price they sell "creepy cloth".

We've draped the cloth across the tops of our doorways and over the backs of our couches in the past and it gives everything a kind of creepy worn appearance. You can put it just about anywhere. I love the stuff.
