I seem to remember discussions regarding the best way to do a thunder\lightning effect. There was some mention that it could be done using VSA. How is this done?

I have to get VSA for the 3 axis thing anyway, so if I can use it for this as well it would save me having to hunt down some sort of extra equipment.

    Thanks
    Don

Frosty, I will be using a lightning Special Fx box from Spillsbury along with photo flash bulbs.

From electronics123 they have a audio to light modualtor aka color organ and i hook that up to a amp and play lightning soundtrack and hook up two 100 watt halogen flood lights to it and it works just fine. The boards cost 11 dollars. I had to use the speaker outputs on the amp b/c the voltage was too low on the rca's but it works fine. I believe you can use 220 watts 110vac.
