I think you would be using scrim to project the ghosts onto if you are outside. You could have some fog floating around, but it would give away the effect.

If you had fog, everyone would see the funnel shaped beam running from the projector to the image.

Good point. Hmm, but maybe if the projector was far enough away and from the right vantage point with the right fog control (ha ha) it might be doable. Or maybe not, scrim might be the way to go. Will just have to experiment if I decide to go this route.

edit- The more I think about it I believe you are right. A scrim would be about the only way to keep it somewhat controllable.

indeva, Your window is easily big enough. Keep in mind that the animation is wider than it is tall whereas your wind is the opposite. So either the animation will be cut off on the sides or you'll have empty bars on the top and bottom.

So I've been trying to figure out how I'm gonna do this on what to me is too small a window (4ft wide 5ft tall). It has the wrong ratio. Compared to the way you have made it, and after much thought it came to me. I have double front doors!! I could just open the doors and put the sheet up there and have a way bigger display than would be worth buying a projector for.

So being that I haven't seen 2008 version, do you guys think it wouldn't make sense if I played it in the door way instead of a window? 2007 video had refrences that the video is displayed in a window not a door way. Think it would still look good?

Mark, any chance of getting some doors or doorway scenes?

Just a quick question though. Can I just use a DVD player with the projector or do you have to run it through a computer? (Pardon my ignorance on this stuff.)
