I totally agree this looks way better if it was in a window, but as cool as this is I just dont think having the image 36" wide in my window would do it justice. That's why I ended up testing the RV gate area. Once the dvd comes in the mail Ill have to try it in both places and just lower the binds like you said.
It is "rear projection" the unit is behind the screen about 10 feet or so.
Thanks guys for your input!

Terra, can you get a short clip of it again, only this time a little closer? I think your window is like mine in that you have the bar that runs down the center, separating the 2 windows, is that right? All of my windows have the bar in the center that runs vertical and another one horizontal (t-style), and then the little t-bars in each frame. I think that would totally mess up the display but I'd like to see how the video looks up close.
Here's a pic of my house. You can see what I mean about the type of windows that I have.
"Scare me once, shame on you. Scare me twice ... you'd better run like hell."

The red ghosts are one of the 2 Easter Eggs. The other one is what is shown on Hallowindow - Mark Gervais as Hallowindow Zero (starts with the red dripping blood). BTW Mark changed the site slightly so now to see the list of what's on the DVD you'll need to click on the text below the video that runs.

Indeva, it looks like I'm in the same boat as you (puny widows), and I really like your set-up. May I ask what you are using for a screen. I have the exact same gate lay- out, and since I'll have a yard cemetery set in front of the gate, it might be my best bet.

Yep, I have the same type of window but I don't have the T-inserts and the bottom window is one big one. I don't think you having the T-inserts would be a problem, but you'd have to test that. The other camcorder clips I got were kind of crappy so I'll just tell you what I discovered. First off, I have a third window under the two vertical windows. I put the screen over all three windows but I just play the movie for the top two. Which works out pretty good, especially when the monster pulls the curtain. He looks life sized. Hard to explain but not showing the movie on the bottom window actually worked for the better. Hallowindow 2 did have one thing that got clipped off from the bar in the center of the window: the vampire. The eyeball gets a bit covered up by the bar but not so much to be a big issue. Also, the warning sign just before the Frankenstein is blocked, but it's not important to the scene. I will admit, the vampire being blocked off changed DH and I's plan to run that on Halloween night. We will instead run Halloween 1 which is perfect for the bar in the window because Mark designed it to overcome that (he had a bar in his window too).
Here's a picture of the window last year so you can see the three windows better:
So Mark, perhaps next year, could you do the DVD with two versions (one for bar in window and one for no bar in window)? That would be great
Dpolking: We used hubby's InFocus from his work. Looked great, didn't it?
Overall, I love it! This is going to rock on Halloween night!

Hey Bradg869, I first bought a white sheet to use but never even opened it after everyone saying you get hot spots, so i took everyones advice and got the white shower curtain liner from walmart for $1.97. I took a piece if aluminum and set it on the two doors along the top to hang the liner from and then put another piece at the bottom to keep is taunt.
