This is my can popper i made about 2 years ago. Its pneumatic, with a remote control activation.
I made it so it looked like a static prop, so when kids got near it to check it out, it would jump. I figured if it was just a barrel, people would get the idea that something would jump out of it.
The barrel is a real steel drum, used to hold hydrolic fluid, lol
it has a built in Fog machine, and a strobe light.
I have it up to about 100 psi, which for the last two years its working great.
I made it out of a screen door opener.

yea 100 psi is a bit high, but when i do it any lower, it barely has any lift. Im using a craftsman 5 gallon or 10, not sure, compressor.
It stinks too at that size, the compressor is running allnight
But so far (knocks on wood) the screen door opener has not broke under that pressure and the amount of times I have used it.
i used a heavy duty door opener if that counts

well its connected to a washing machine Solenoid which is plugged into a wireless outdoor light activator.
I bout it at HD for about 27 bucks. It comes with a little remote, and a plug that plugs into any outlet, and anything you plug into it will be activated with the remote.
