Hey guys, I'm new on here and I just started a swamp witch project this weekend and I'm looking for some advise on how to make it move. The way it was built, it kind of leans back so it wobbles easily. I'm trying to find a way to mount a small a/c powered motor to the back of it so it wobbles freakishly. Anyone have any idea where I can find something like that, or does anyone have a better idea to lift the back corner a little bit?

I suppose after watching her clip I'm going to at least chop down the width of the shoulders, but yeah I like her tall.

I'm sorry, I'm no good at the motor department, but that is going to be very cool if it's anything like the clip. I agree on cutting the shoulders down, she is fairly narrow. Can't wait to see your finished creation.

That Traxxas motor is a very powerful one! I use them in my RC cars I have them in my buggy on all four wheels and its goes 50+ MPH

You might be able to get it to work but you could over stress the motor.

Thanks Dous, do you think I need to find one that has more torque then, or just one that's a little bigger?

I would get one that is more torqued out and probably not a traxxas one because they are designed exclusively for rc cars. That type of engine is sold for many other uses. And the Traxxas one might not work because it doesn't have much torque since it wont be moving something that has a lot of resistance such as a huge witch!

A lot of haunters use windshield wiper motors:

POWERFUL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR | AllElectronics.com

    or:

Electric Motors for Props - 12VDC Wiper Motor - Halloween Prop Building Supplies For The Home Haunter - Monster Guts - Wiper Motors for Haunting Needs

They require a DC power supply, some people slow them down by running them on 5VDC from an old computer power supply, but they are designed to run on 12VDC (You can still use the old computer power supply)

For more info on using a wiper motor visit scary terry's page:
