I have one section of my fence finished (3 more ready for paint) I just need to decide whether to paint the skulls or not. Opinions??? Im afraid if I paint them no one will notice them on the other hand I dont want them to stand out and distract from the graveyard.
This is Lil miss Muffett as my daugher calls her... shes not completely done, she needs some web and her eyes need to be adjusted. She will stand at the entrance of the spider room. She sings 'itsy bitsy spider' lol link to video....
One last thing, I made some REALLY cheap eyeballs, Im sure someone else has already thought of this but in passing a gumball machine I thought how close in size they were to the bucky eyeballs I have.. sooooo.... a lil paint and a printed out pupil later...they are a perfect fit for a bucky

You've been busy, nice work! When I made my first few sections of fence I painted the skulls black. Later sections I left them white. I like your's better! Did you find them that color or did you stain them?
I don't want to just scare them... I want to mess them up for life!

I wouldn't paint them, because they do stand out so nicely in their natural state.
Little Miss Muffet is great! Is she a boris? I ask because I see the wired bone at the bottom. I have got to get me one of those....

Thanks Frankie's girl, yes its a Boris, last yr a pirate this yr a lil girl, gotta love Boris, so versitile.
Spookineer, I didnt stain them, they came that way. I got them at the dollar tree
I think I'll take your (and Frankie's girl) advice and not paint them, I can always paint them later if I change my mind.
I just realized I forgot to add the video link

I think they look great without painting them. I am working on my fence this weekend...think I'll make a trip to the Dollar Tree.

The props and the fence look great!!
I'd leave the skulls unpainted. They show up better that way. Plus why not be different?
Most people paint their plastic skull finials.

Hey NH... I got the same foam skull garlands for my finials and went halfway... I spray painted them, but not all black. Just enough to tone them down a bit.

thanks everyone, I finished the rest of the fence sections and left the skulls unpainted. Im happy with them, thanks for your opinions.
Bilbo, the skulls are plastic not stryofoam, they were in a mesh bag not a garland. I saw the garland at the dollar tree tho and they were nice. I think they are a lil bigger than mine too, the ones I used are kinda small, I like yours better
