I have been working on a 3-axis skull following the Halloweembob thread and was wondering if anyone can supply me with the dimensions of the rotate bracket that was used in the final(?) design. This is the one that the linkage for the nod servo goes through. Thanks, BFJou812![]()

If you mean this one it is Part Number: 8405K111 from McMaster-carr if you are using a thread rod system

RBC, No that is the rod end, what I need is the dimensions for the bracket the rod end attaches to. It was a triangular shape and open in the center, with 3 holes in it to attach the rod end. Thanks

That is already in HalloweenBob's thread near the beginning. His final design had one hole for the rod end, it was gym_ghost's bracket that has three holes. Another variation was by captn_jack with a simple L bracket (that's what I use) mounted on the opposite side. The bracket location is not really critical, what is critical is finding the center of gravity to minimize stress on the servos.
This is HalloweenBob's (about half way down the page):

HomeyDaClown, Thanks that is what I was looking for, I tried the L bracket as you suggested but I'm using a Bucky skull. This weighs a lot more and the center of gravity is an issue . I've got that worked out but the rod end is so close to the theraded rod there is no rear tilt. That's why I need to use the other bracket. I think that will solve both problems, tilt and center of gravity. Thanks for your help.
