    i am looking at buying the real time programmer from monster guts.

    is it worth it.. and what all can i use with it?

    There are a whole lot of other options for a lot less. Don't know how flexible you are about how you want your props controlled or if you want to use a PC to do it. Many here use a Prop1 or Prop2 controller, both are basic stamps. Another way, if you want to use a PC, is VSA software and add your own hardware in any configuration you want. All too often in a hurry to "get automated" I see people (myself included) jump out there and spend a bunch of money only to replace it a year or two later. Take your time and do your research to see what fits best into your long term plan, your budget, and your skill level. Although the latter will increase rapidly.

    the only things i see that will work with it are the boobox 4 and 8 and i thought the had real time programing

    i would have to agree with him ^ i like stand alones under conditions, but you really need to think of what you might want to do later and if you could expand to do it without replacing your whole rig
