Ok guys, I need some pictures and ideas of how to connect my sound to play when I trigger my prop.
I do know about using the cd player or micro recorder for the sound but problem im having is how to make the sound trigger with the triggered prop.
    Also a fog machine....

Just a little in site, I will be triggering all my props manually from 2 of these...

I figure I can run a 3 way extension cord from each outlet on the board to run 3 different things at once on the prop.. ie.. air trigger valve, lights, & sound..
But not sure how to trigger the sound this way. I have never used sound on a prop except for the mimic machine that has a motion detector built in and 14 seconds of recordable sound.

I am the owner of a dj company and have access to many speakers, amps, cables, light control & fog machines. So somebody please either tell me how to set this up, or a site I can go to.
Remember I am using a 110 outlet for triggering so whatever I use will need to be 110 compatible.

    Thank you guys!!!

The low tech way is to play your sound source continously (loop) and use a pair of amplified speakers (think computer speakers) and turn the speakers on and off.

well i would like to have the sounds at the hight point first off when the prop is triggered.
That is a good idea, and that might be what i have to do since im using the switch box at 110.
Thanks for the info on that scareisburg...

Thats a little more of what I was looking for... but the whole "Use a relay with a 110v ac coil to trigger it", yeah ummmm.. me and high current don't get along very well... So if I were to use one of these, I would need instructions and pictures showing me how to hook up the 110v ac coil to it... cuz im a duh when it comes to coils, and diodes, and regulators, and all that...

So if there is ANYBODY out there that knows about this kind of stuff, and lets say they wanted to get the stuff to make these "triggers" at "110v compatible" and well...... I don't know... maybe...... sale them with a mark up for the work and shipping.... I defiantly know someone that would buy 3 right off the bat...
and then another 3 shortly after that... not to mention other people... hint hint

    Just a thought lol...

i used one of these last year and i agree your 2 options would be turning off and on the speakers or using a relay, i think the relay is one of the most important things you can learn for building props, you will end up using it with just about everything.
if you can wait alittle while ( tonight or tomorrow morning ) i can put a how to up for wiring and using a relay

here is one pre made FrightProps - Halloween Props, Pneumatic Props, Animated Props, Halloween Accessories it is the first on the page for $24 the parts to make this would be around $20 new so their markup is about $4+ shipping. you can also find the parts on ebay for good prices but you would have to build it your self.

if you are worried about the cost of buying one remember, this is something you will always get use out of no matter what controller you are using.
this year i am using about 18 120v relays
