I have used brown spray paint on certain areas, and have also heard of minwax wood stain, (just rub it on were you want it). Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Cut hack and chop.... Seperate the ribs, cut out the eyes, nose, mouth.
Stretch a nylon over the torso, cover the whole blucky in carpet latex or prop rubber latex, let it dry, and then use a darker shade of wood stain on the whole thing.

Let dry, and then peel away the latex and nylon from various parts of the "bone."

    Absolutely terrifying!

I was thinking about using a lighter wood stain on it, would this work?

I've never done it, but this tutorial caught my eye enough to remember it.

I made TOT corpses with mine...I used a few different ways. One was construction adhesive...in the caulk aisle, and paper towels, then stain it. Then I bought some expired latex on ebay and used it and paper towels, and I did that with a bucky this year as well. The gallon of latex will do about 40-50 bluckys I bet.
Then dress them in kids TOT costumes...attach a pumpkin candy bucket to the hands too.
    Place whereever needed.

Monstermud would probably have the best effect. Its just joint compound mixed with latex paint!
