i'm going to make my drop panels pneumatic this year. i am going to have a air cylinder on a manual trigger. but when the panel comes down i want it to hit a sensor and activate noise and a strobe. does anybody have any ideas on a sensor i could use.. or any advise

also i wanted to put a static torso in the drop panel to scare... does any one have a idea on what type or which torso would be a great scare.

    thanks

you could use a magnet break sensor like the ones used in window and door alarms like this mcmastercarr number
    8039A14

when the panel is up the magnet keeps the switch open when it drops the switch closes. you can wire it so that it switches 12v to trigger a relay for 120v

you can also use the switch going to the air cylinder that switches on the solenoid just wire it to a relay so that when you press the trigger button it will also trigger the relay and turn on what ever you have it connected to

thats where the relay comes in when the magnet switches it can send 12v/24v to a relay and then the relay can switch 120v turning on the strobe and it can be attached to the play button of an audio player.

you could also use a a picoboo FrightProps - Halloween Props, Pneumatic Props, Animated Props, Halloween Accessories like the f104 it could control the cylinder, strobe and it has a built in sound player so it would do all 3 in what ever order you wanted when you pressed the trigger button. but it would be $90

sadly yes, as they would need to be independent of each other

well you would also have to switch the light and sound for each one so that it wouldn't turn on the other one which could be alittle difficult
