my wife and i just thru two sections sections of pvc fence together and she wantto find some toppers for it..any suggestions on where to find some?? i expressed my thought about putting fake barbed wire across the top to keep our fake corpses andother nonliving beings in the yard and to keep the living ones outside the yard until ready to let them in..

We actually used black craft foam from Michael's, and cut a spear shape with about a 1 1/2" tab on the bottom, and just stuck the tab in the top of the PVC pipes. That was the compromise when we couldn't get little skulls, it was cheap, easy, and looked good. Haven't replaced them since!

    I second Decorativeiron.com
I used their toppers for my fence.

The toppers fit 1/2 PVC pipe , even though it says they fit on a 3/4 square.
These are the ones I got :

If and when I ever build a fence.... I think I'm going the route of those cheap plastic border fencing you can find at Lowes. I know I got the idea somewhere online, but don't remember where.

It's that stuff that's like 6"-12" high and you can buy in a bundle of sections (like a 2' section). I'll construct a PVC/wood fence and 'top' it with those before I paint. I know Big Lots has them for cheap. And some have that real gothic fence feel.

That's what I was talking about, except using the entire 'fence' and not cutting out anything.

I use skeleton whistles for my fence toppers...although not very authentic for a fence it doesgive it a nice look. I just spray painted them black too..

I built mine from the plans that use the garden edging on top of the fence.

At the Dollar Tree they have bags of small plastic skulls - I believe I counted 9 skulls per bag - for $1.00. I bought several bags to use as my fence toppers. My local store doesn't have all of their Halloween out yet, but they did have the skulls. I haven't made the fence yet, but for around 10 cents a piece you can't go wrong!
