When I had a PVC fence, I built mine out of 1x2 and PVC
I built a frame out of wood and screwed the PVC to the frame and capped the PVC with skulls.
Added a few hinges and some chains. Painted it black. Simple and cheap.

You can kind of see the gate here. I gave the fence and gate away when I put up a permanent fence. It is the best pic I can find in my photobucket....from 05.

    The fence...

    Sorry for the crappy pics.
I basicly built a square out of 1x4s and put it together with flat "L" brackets in the corners.
Then put the Pvc on the the frame.

I think if I was to redo mine and it was that small, I would make it all out of wood. You could do a nice arch at the top and not have to worry about the bending that PVC has.

I also use PVC and wood and it was very simple to make. Be aware that the PVC does ebnd some but I like the look of that, I think it makes it appear older
