Working in historical buildings means no fake blood on the floor, furniture or windows. Since the scenes we were creating called for lots of it, we created what we call "peel and stick" blood. Starting with Ross Crafts Kids school glue (or a similiar pva type white glue), simply mix in red acrylic paint (a little black intensifies the colour) until the desired shade is reached. Next, on a heavy plastic sheet (I find transparancies work well), simply drip your blood mixture on the sheets. We did handprints, drips, puddles, claw marks, everything this way. Once your creations have dried, simply peel them off the sheet and stick them wherever you want. Note, they work the best if you make them fairly thick. The ones we did that were really thin worked, but were hard to peel off in one piece. When you are done with halloween, simply peel them off your floors or windows and stick them back on the transparencies for next year! I'll take pictures and post them when I make up a new batch for this year.
