Thread: struggling for a finale idea !!!

We are doing a pirate theme haunt this year. We have most of our rooms thought out and in the process of making the props.

Problem we have............. What to do for the finale !!!

We have rack our brains (evidentally too much) and can't seem to decide what to do at the end.

This is a guided walk through haunt. We will have a crystal ball, a opening coffin, a boneyard maze, a 3 axis skull, a pirate ship, a catycomb, a prison, .....
anyway, we need a grand finale !! And I am out of ideas.

Can anyone here help me PLEASE ? I just don't know what to do.
Anyone have an idea that usually sends people SCREAMING from the room ???

you cant beat ankle ticklers to evacuate a room with some urgency

If using ankle ticklers...... what room design ? SNAKES !?!?!?!

You could end it like the Pirates of the Caribbean ride!




The treasure room! They have redone it with Jack Sparrow, but the general idea is the same. Look it up on youtube. You can get a better picture of the theme.

With some imaginative lighting, and a few weathered 1x6's, you could make a pretty interesting "walk the plank" concept.

Ooooo..Walk the plank is a good idea BallstonManor. What a great way to end the walk through. Put a black curtain at the very end of the plank so they don't know what's coming....the exit!

Add some fake sharks in the water just below, or a squid or ghosts of the dead in the water...What a fun idea.

hm..... I think this would call for a variation on the bottomless pit,

Well, we are already having most of those things elsewhere in the haunt. We have an endless pit with a bridge over it.... kind of a walk the plank thing. We also have the treasure room with a 3 axis skull, The ship area has the undead crew rising from the fog....

See what I mean ? Man this is hard ! Keep suggesting!!!! I know its out there !

I liked both the "walk the plank" and "treasure room" - How about an underwater room - blue lights, water reflections, plants and (underwater) sea sounds, dyed cloth waving in fan breeze. For the scare... JAWS attack starts with low "dum...dum...dum..." music, gets louder, then BAM! large shark head comes from behind material. A split second later as crowd moves from shark, a large evil pirate bursts out from the opposite side of the room with a loud AAAARRRRGGGHHHH!!!
