ok dont laugh i never did this before and was at my first time attempting this , i tried aging a pair of stage hands with mod podge with water and toilet paper .... i am trying to get them to look old to match a head i bought but the hands look more like they are from a burned victim, maybe once painted in a flesh color they wont look as bad ?
anyone as a pictured how to or tips for aging adding wrinkles etc ?

When doing paper mache I use a layer of very thin cloth like old bed sheets or something similar and saturate it with thinned glue. You can massage it around and get very realistic wrinkles. Don't know how this will work with your hands though as the glue might not stick well.

I think I'd try painting it before starting over. I can picture them looking old and wrinkled, they just need to be a different color.

I agree with Rikki, paint it first. I'm sure you will have a different take on it.

I think one of the reasons they don't look right is they are to robust, hands on older people are usually thin and skeletal it may be easier to put a covering on skeleton hands to achieve the look you want, there is a how too on making hands from beads and straws on one of the forums.

I think they look fantastic, a coat of paint will drastically change how they look right now.
well done.

I think a coat of paint would definately help. And don't forget to add dark blue veins and liver spots. That really "ages" up hands. Oh, and yellow the finger nails a bit.
