Do you HAVE to use the whole can at once? Is there a way to use half now and half later? Everytime I buy a can half of it is wasted because it clogs up. Its soooo frustrating!! I can shake it and hear it in there but it wont spray!! grrrrrr![]()

I have been able to use 1/2 and save the rest. There are a couple methods i use... One, after I have sprayed the foam, I put a screw in the little straw thing you attach to the can, most of the time it works, you just have to be sure you put the screw all the way in the straw so no air can get in... Second, which probably makes more sense/is more likely to work, just tape the straw closed after spraying... Should work just fine!

Has any one tried turning it over and clearing the valve and straw like you do with a spray paint can?

I just threaded a thin piece of wire through the tube to clean it out. I think it was from a very light-weight coat hanger, but I could be wrong

As soon as were done, we blow air through the tube to get rid of the extra. The can spigot, we usually wipe down with acetone.
I contacted the mfg of Great Stuff inquiring about purchasing extra tubes. They told us no!!! What a shame...

I have managled the spigot after the fact and then used a nail to get the "extra" out you dont have the control but it still comes out and then you can harvest it into wherever you need it to go with your gloved hands..

I have the same problem, I also experience the next time I use the can (if I can get it to work) the foam is not the same size as the first run.

I saw at my local hardware store a gun type applicator that claims it saves on wasted foam for professional users. The problem is the gun cost $40!!!!!
I need to remember to look at it closer and see what's so special about it.
