Just thought id share a few clips of the pop up bin & monster in a box props in action on my "mystery mansion" haunted house that i travell over here in the UK.
(the uk mainly sucks for halloween as i have to resort to building my own props id love to be able to go out and buy an impaler like you guys but the price of shipping is almost as much as the prop its self!!)
Anyways be kind guys and any rating or comments on you tube would be greatly appriciated as ive just started to sell these 2 props and we all know a good rating never hurt nobody!! sorry about the links id put the videos up on the page but im not sure how!!
many thanks from your fellow haunter in the uk.
Scott.

i controll them manually from the cash box at the entrance, it works better that way as you can get the timing rght on for maximum effect, the music sytem runs through a laptop in there also that has a dj fx software for the sound effects.... all pretty simple stuff really i will post a few pictures of the full mansion set up later on

Those clips are great!! Very funny!!
What kind of mechanism moves the monster in a box? It's very unique.
Thanks for sharing.

Agreed, I'm curious as well. I'd also like to see the inside of your haunt, being in the states it's highly unlikely I'll be able to see it in person.

Ok guys i have uploaded some more pictures of the haunt in various stages of it getting set up ready for opening, i thought a few of you might be interested how it works ect...
could you tell us where you got the plans for the monster in a box? I reaally like the way the whole box moves around.Thank you for your kind words, the box is one of the most simple things i have made i will upload some picture for you guys when i get a chance but for now the basic idea was make the wooden box frame weld a small steel frame together inside for strengh then fastened a small but strong pneumatic cylinder inside right in the center of the box, then after you fasten it to the base with the chain becase the box will never lift perfectly up in a straight line with a few taps of the control button you get the effect of it "dancing"Those clips are great!! Very funny!!
